Preparing for the Job Interview Workshop
This series of workshops gives participants an inside look at the hiring process and includes a practice interview. The purpose of this class is to teach participants how to prepare for a job interview through covering topics such as: what to do (and not to do) during an interview, how to follow-up after an interview, and resume tips. Class is offered Tuesdays 9:30am to 11:30am. Call the CMC for up-to-date info on dates the workshop is being offered.
Culinary Creations
Food Service Training Program
This 12 week course trains students in food processing, cooking, and food safety. The course also teaches basic employment skills in job acquisition and retention. At the end of the course, graduating students receive a food service certification and references, both of which will greatly increase their chances of obtaining employment in the food services industry.
Employment and Interview Skills
Tuesday thru Friday 9:00 to 5:00
Open session for people to receive one on one help from knowledgeable volunteers with resumes, interviews, and job search tips. Anyone who needs help with a resume, job application, or searching for employment can drop in to receive assistance, in English or in Spanish.
